Migros Mülimärt Car Park
Half the light points, 72 % lower electricity costs – new light across 8'100 m² of parking
Refurbished during ongoing operations, controlled zone by zone via DALI-2. Light only where someone is driving.
The existing lighting in the car park of the Migros Mülimärt was to be refurbished sparingly on resources and made controllable zone by zone at the same time – without interrupting operations at the shopping centre. We recalculated the 8'100 m², designed them to SN EN 12464 and cut the number of light points by more than 50 % in the process: brighter, more uniform light with considerably less installation. We guided the decision-makers through the question of control until a solution was in place that matches how the car park is actually used – today DALI-2 regulates every zone individually, and there is light only where someone is driving. Implementation planning, installation coordination and securing the subsidies were ours, and the installation itself took three weeks. Electricity costs have fallen by at least 72 % since then, and the investment pays for itself in under four years.
